The established heavy hitting outfit, Nicepeople, kick things off for 2022 in true style. Dropping early next year is their latest slice of house heaven, the package comes in the shape of three originals from Gourment De Funk, and a nostalgic “Chicago Boogie” trip with the legendary Roy Davis Jr. Sounds good already, right? Title track “A Love Supreme” initiates proceedings on the A side, slick percussion teases you into a journey of funk bliss, warm and infectious bass taking you on a cruise, with feel good strings all working in sweet harmony to make this a must have record. On a more driven tip is “The Way You Move” another animated groove experience, and boasts some smooth sax action for the fans amongst us. Roy Davis Jr.’s “Chicago Boogie” remix of “The Way You Move” is an upbeat number for the peak time dance floors out there. The irresistible bass totally takes over your movements, you can not help but to move to a track like this, the veteran producer certainly not letting us down with this one, fitting the ethos of the label, and yet crammed with the signature sound we have all come to adore from Roy over the years. Closing off the EP is the “Never Lost (GDF Morning Dub)” seductive deep house for the early morning dancers, crisp hi hats brushing by as you feel yourself swallowed up into the clouds, one for the dreamers. Nicepeople never seem to take the pedal off the gas, consistently pushing their brand and propelling top shelf house music from an array of inspiring producers of old and new, and they begin next year exactly as they mean to go on.

One of Detroit’s finest exports is legendary house and techno pioneer, Gari Romalis, and as we enter what could potentially be a summer of love he creates an outstanding four track EP, “Black Traxx Matter”, spreading a message which scratches way below the surface, using music as a tool to share. The body of work spans across distinctive and slinky deep house energy, oozing class and emotion, notably what we have all come to love and adore in Romalis’ back catalogue. Music from the soul, for the soul, coming soon on Italian label, Nicepeople. Opener “Black 2 Da Future” rides an effortlessly cool groove, brushing by in the summer breeze, paying homage to brighter days. Next up is “Black Diamondz (Africa Mix) consisting of a tight and punchy drum arrangement, and warm and infectious sub bass. Welcoming you with open arms. “Black Luv” is lighter on its feet than the previous tracks, a definite housey spring in its step, all of the elements conversing in sweet harmony. A cruise down nostalgia lane. “Purpose Reprise (Motivate Mix)” closes this wonderful EP, six and a half minutes of pure bliss which shifts into a pure and powerful moment when a spoken word sample enters the room, as the soft keys work their way around the message. A masterpiece body of work from one of the most esteemed artists in the game. The Nicepeople label keep continuing to propel high quality sounds from new and established artists, with a healthy schedule already pencilled in for 2021.

Southern Italian label Nicepeople is pleased to invite you to their two-year anniversary celebration to be held on Wednesday, October 13th at ADE, and for the occasion has reunited a super line up to bring you 7 hours of great house music. Party vibes guaranteed! A special occasion like this requires a special guest and who better than the Italian house legend Don Carlos. Don Carlos has remained a resolutely underground figure on the fringes of the Italian house music scene. This is true despite the fact that he is been spinning since the late 70's, dabbling in studio production since the late 80's and his debut single "Alone" (1991) sold around 12.000 copies on the Calypso label and has been a coveted deep house classic ever since. "Alone" is one of the the deep house's most cathartic moments and surely Don Carlos's epitaph. Alongside Don Carlos, at the controls we'll have Italian house innovator Nico Lahs, fresh off a pair of releases on Adeen, Delusions Of Grandeur, Metamorphic and Dailysession Recordings, followed by the Italian talents Gourment De Funk and Nicepeople's co-founder Giuseppe Scarano, and the Dutch Daisy Rose and MC Fadoua Mae. Line up: Special Guest Nico Lahs (IT) Gettoblaster (US) Gourment De Funk (IT) Giuseppe Scarano (IT) Daisy Rose (NL) MC Fadoua Mae (NL) ADE delegates: Free entry Powered by: Nicepeople | 24 Streaming | The Library | Tiqs | Empire | Groom Lake Agents
